Nutribén® GOLD 2

Nutribén® GOLD 2 is a baby formula that is suitable from 6 months and onwards. Its special characteristics and balanced composition aid in your baby’s correct development:

  • Casein / whey protein ratio of 30:70. Which provides a similar amino acid profile to that of breast milk.
  • It contains enriched alpha-lactalbumin, a high biological value protein, similar to that of breast milk.1-12
  • 45% of beta triglyceride substituted esterified palmitic acid, which improves absorption of fats and helps passage of stool.13-19
  • Its long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid improves brain and cell development and encourages visual acuity. It also has a 1:1 ratio with the anti-inflammatory effects of DHA.20

The formula also contains many nutrients that are essential for your baby’s development.

a) Prebiotics:21-23

  • Similar to breast milk.
  • 100% GOS – oligosaccharide found in breast milk.
  • Reduce constipation due to its fibre effect – Softer stools.
  • Prebiotic effect – helps growth of bifidobacteria that are found in the colon, obtaining all their benefits.
  • Strengthen the immune system.
  • Reduce the incidence of atopic dermatitis.

b) Nucleotides:24-29

  • Similar to those of breast milk.
  • Encourage development of immune system.
  • Influence metabolism of lipoproteins and long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids..
  • Protect the intestinal flora.
  • Improve maturation of the intestinal tract.

c) Choline:30

  • Proper synthesis of phosphatidylcholine. The main phospholipid in the brain and kidneys.
  • The same content as breast milk.
  • Important for brain development.

d) L- carnitine:30

  • Correct brain development, maturation of the central nervous system and composition of cell membranes.
  • Helps properly obtain fatty acids and energy.
  • Regulates metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

e) Inositol:30

  • Important for lung development.
  • Prevents development of retinopathy.
  • Prevents necrotising enterocolitis.
  • Aids in the mediation of cellular responses to external stimulus.

f) Selenium:30

  • Correct composition of cell membranes.
  • Antioxidant.
  • Helps maintain defences against infections.
  • Intervenes in modulation of growth and development.
